A delightfully intimate experience of old rituals, new olive oil and breath-taking sights
Olive oil is the “fruit” of a centuries-old tradition born from the culture of Mediterranean civilisations.
The” E.V.O” aka Extra Virgin Olive Oil is rich in healthy natural antioxidants and still plays an extremely important role as a unique condiment for Italian food and as an inherent cultural icon of the Italian way of life.
Learning to recognise high quality E.V.O is paramount to making a responsible and informed use of this precious element. The Olive Harvest Tour will give you the insider’s scoop on how the famous “Olio Nuovo” is made. It is a wonderful way to celebrate the taste of the freshly pressed olives and revel in all its nuances, thereby truly understanding why it is called “Umbria’s liquid gold “.

In the midst of this fairy tale scenery , you will enjoy listening to the local people sharing their stories, meet new friends on ancient routes, reconnect with the land and its offerings while laughing, eating, drinking and rediscovering the simple pleasures of life.
Visit local olive mills and wineries, walk through old historic towns like Trevi, Assisi, Perugia, Spello, Montefalco and Bevagna. Have fun with Letizia Mattiacci’s cooking classes and get to drink some of Umbria’s finest artisanal wine, all in a warm, cosy atmosphere.
